OnePlus 8/ 8 Pro gains new rewind recording feature in Game Space

OnePlus continues to uphold its image of updating its phones quickly while testing new features through betas. The Open Beta 5 version for the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro is currently rolling out for users. It not only fixes the bugs introduced in the previous version, but also introduces a new player-friendly feature.

This new feature is called Rewind recording and arrives as part of the play space. This feature allows users to Quickly save the last 30 seconds of gameplay (in progress or complete) at the touch of a button. This means that you will now be able to save your killstreaks or team wipes after they occur. You won’t need to stress the device by recording gameplay while you’re in the game.

How to use Record Back feature on OnePlus 8/8 Pro?

Once you’ve installed the latest Open Beta 5 on your OnePlus 8 or 8 Pro, open a game of your choice and swipe down from the top left or right corner to access the game space.

Scroll through the available options to find the new “Rewind Recording” feature. Press to activate. You will see a purple colored rewind icon on your screen. Now when you think you’ve outdone yourself during a session, just tap the rewind icon once to save the last 30 seconds of your game.

Although I don’t have a OnePlus 8 device handy at the moment, you can find out how the reverse recording feature works in the video here. Recorded video clips can be viewed in the “Moments” section.

Besides the rewind recording feature, the Open Beta 5 fixes many annoying bugs and updates the security patch level to December 2020. You will no longer experience message delivery and audio listening issues Bluetooth during a call.
