OnePlus Game Space moves to Play Store and gets Instant Games support

The OnePlus Game Space is the latest OxygenOS app to be decoupled from ROM and moved to the Play Store where it can benefit from faster updates. The app is the pre-installed game center on OnePlus phones.

It offers the usual features like listing all installed games, blocking notifications and giving you quick access to optimizations like Fnatic mode. But this latest version of the app actually adds two additional features that seem very useful.

The first is instant games, which let you play games without installing them first, a great way to try something new without the usual hassle. This feature is also available through Google’s Play Games app.

The other useful addition is game stats. This shows which games you play the most (as if you didn’t already know), but more importantly how much battery was wasted by each game today and over the past last week. This will help you determine the cause of the uneven battery life.

Note that this app remains exclusive to OnePlus devices.
