- G2: Wukong, Ahri, Graves, Vladimir, Gangplank
Choice
- PSG: Kennen, Lee Sin, Syndra, Tristana, Rell
- G2: Gwen, Poppy, Corki, Kalista, Nautilus
PSG Talon claimed sole possession of the first neutral goals as Jankos’ Poppy looked anything but useful. At the second Rift Herald, G2 had had enough and decided to fight PSG. Unfortunately for the EU representatives, PSG Talon had a better squad composition suitable for fighting, as well as well-fed Tristana and Kennen. G2 couldn’t find a single kill until a huge fight in the mid lane 25 minutes later where Flakked and BrokenBlade came out and got 3 PSG members.
G2 then killed Baron Nashor and succeeded, but not before losing three members in the process. PSG Talon, on the other hand, get the Infernal Soul and win the next fight with G2 by simply damaging them. PSG Talon claimed the Baron buff and after Unified’s Tristana Goomba stomped on the G2 members, end the game.

- EX: Lucian, Wukong, Ahri, Xayah, Tahm Kench
Choice
- T1: Gwen, Lee Sin, Zoe, Kalista, Taric
- Example: Gangplank, Nocturne, Galio, Jinx, Nautilus
Evil Geniuses started the action early, but fail their first game on the upper side. T1 responds quickly with a 4-man dive that shows their heads and kills EG’s botlane duo. As the minutes ticked by, EG’s easy “press R” composition showed its strengths in catching T1 members. Inspired in particular Nocturne well pilot, using his paranoia not only to gank but also to deny information from T1.
T1 was in the lead, but that lead was not growing. When they tried to get a bigger lead by pushing the bot lane, they stretch too far and it backfires. Soon they decided to hit Baron Nashor. T1 was made invulnerable by Taric’s ultimate, but Impact hit several with over a thousand damage from a well-timed cannon.

T1 were in dire straits at this point, but a good kick from Oner’s Lee Sin to Danny won them the fight against the Hextech Drake.

Again, they try to take Baron but this time, the result is this time more decisive in favor of EG. Kalista mispositioned and didn’t get Taric’s invulnerability which caused her to pop like a balloon due to EG damage. Danny’s Jinx got excited and ran on T1. Everything that happened after that is just a formality, and Evil Geniuses take the upset victory over T1.
Result: EG wins in 32:01 (T1 11 – 22 EG)

It was a bloody start to the match, but SGB, especially Froggy, all performed well against the trademark LPL aggression displayed by RNG. Skirmishes have occurred everywhere, but VCS reps respond well to every game by RNG.
In a fight around the Rift Herald, Wei’s Viego had the chance to reset multiple times, tipping the odds in RNG’s favor. Several skirmishes then occur, mostly involving the junglers.
SGB then decides to go to Baron not for the buff, but to bait RNG into an extended fight. This caused RNG to retreat and continue stacking dragons as SGB ignored this neutral objective. Regarding this, SGB decided to give away the Cloud Soul for the Baron buff.

SGB attempts to push all the way with the Baron-empowered minions, but Wei masterfully fends them off. After that, SGB looked lost and chained several kills which gave RNG some space. A chaotic late game fight occurs on the Elder Dragon and it appeared RNG. After this loss, the Saigon Buffalos are eliminated from the knockout stage.
Result: RNG win in 35:28 (SGB 25 – 19 RNG)
Game 4: G2 Esports (LEC) vs. T1 (LCK)

G2 came through the gates on red and quickly made plays all around the map. All of these games somehow work in their favor until T1 finally makes a game that suits them well after getting 4 G2 members for one. The T1 springboard out of this game and wins the next fight against the Drake. This lead allowed them to take several laps.
T1 then found their winning fight after ambushing Team G2 near the Baron Pit.

The Buffalos found several kills early in the game, but seemingly repeating their mistakes against RNG, failing to hit neutral goals. The game was full of small skirmishes, but a big fight in the mid lane is when SGB really went into sick mode. They quickly went to kill Baron Nashor thanks to a timing advantage and besieged the top of PSG. PSG were then caught off guard by a quick engagement and SGB claimed their first Rumble stage victory.

There’s no nice way to say this for EG fans, they were getting dumped by RNG. Evil Geniuses kept trying to make plays and get RNG to fight, but the LPL team was just too strong.

The RNG composition has way too much crowd control for EG, and Viego resetting on every kill meant this game was a complete and utter destruction of RNG.
Result: RNG wins in 24:27 (RNG 26 – 4 EG)
