Xiaomi brings Game Turbo mode to POCO F1 and cuts price for 6GB / 128GB model – Technology News, Firstpost

The latest update to the one and only phone from the Xiaomi POCO sub-brand in India sees the introduction of a Game Turbo mode in MIUI. The company also announced a price reduction of Rs 2,000 on the 6 GB of RAM, 128 storage variant of the F1, bringing its price down to Rs 20,999.

The discount on the POCO F1 (review) is temporary and will last until March 28, although the phone is a good deal even without a discount.

Game Turbo mode is basically a set of software tweaks that optimize resource allocation to gaming applications like PUBG Mobile. In addition, the update includes support for features such as screen recording during gameplay, a picture-in-picture mode for applications such as WhatsApp, and the ability to change Wi-Fi network and SIM card during a game.

According to FoneArena, functionality is limited to MIUI Global Beta ROM for now, but it will be available to all users soon.

In terms of specs, the budget model is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The screen is a 6.18 inch FHD LCD unit and does not have a notch. The cameras include a 12 MP f / 1.9 + 5 MP f / 2.0 combo on the rear and a single 20 MP f / 2.0 camera on the front. Power is supplied via a 4000mAh QuickCharge 3.0 compatible battery.

The POCO F1 always delivers unmatched value.
